Trieste is basking in sunshine this weekend, but the bitter cold is undeniable. With wind chills making it feel like -6°C, the city’s famous bora is in full force. Braving the icy gusts, we wandered through downtown to see how locals and visitors were coping. Some huddled in cafés over steaming espressos, while others wrapped themselves tightly in scarves, determined to enjoy their strolls along the waterfront. Despite the chill, Trieste’s resilient spirit shines—proving once again that neither wind nor freezing temperatures can keep this vibrant city indoors for long.
