On Wednesday, March 12, the Civic Museum of Theater “Carlo Schmidl” will host the second event in the Spring 2025 edition of Le Stanze della Musica (The Rooms of Music), a series exploring historical instruments. This session will spotlight the recorder and the traverso flute, featuring performances by students from the “Tartini” conservatory under the guidance of Professor Manuel Staropoli.

Held at Palazzo Gopcevich, the event will follow a well-established format: a guided tour introducing instruments from the museum’s collection, combined with live performances. The program will include works by Henry Purcell, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Jean-Baptiste Lully.

Sessions are scheduled every Wednesday through May 14 (excluding April 23), with two time slots:

  • 11:00 AM – A dedicated session for school groups, with a discounted €1 ticket for students.
  • 5:30 PM – Open to the general public with standard museum admission.

Future sessions will cover a range of instruments, including percussion (March 19), clarinet (April 2), and cello (April 16). Admission is €5 for the general public, with discounts available. Schools interested in the morning sessions must register in advance at museoschmidl@comune.trieste.it.
