Costa Crociere, one of the world’s leading cruise companies, is looking to hire 60 new employees and is hosting a recruitment event in Trieste from April 15 to 17. The event, organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region’s Employment Services, will help Costa Crociere fill positions for Cruise Staff (Animators), Future Cruise Consultants, Graphic Editors, and Hospitality Operators.
The positions, which are spread across four different roles, are available on Costa’s ships. Each position will have 15 openings, and the selected candidates will undergo free training to gain the necessary qualifications and certifications for onboard work.
The recruitment process includes a multi-stage selection process:
- April 8 – Online written language tests
- April 8 onward – Oral language tests
- April 15-17 – In-person interviews and practical assessments in Trieste
The training for the selected candidates will be organized in collaboration with Enaip FVG and will be offered free of charge. Courses, lasting between 438 and 555 hours, will provide participants with the skills required for each role, and some sessions will take place at accredited institutions outside the region to help candidates obtain the necessary maritime certifications.
Alessia Rosolen, the Regional Councillor for Employment, expressed optimism about the program, highlighting that 97 percent of individuals who complete the training are hired by Costa Crociere. This recruitment day is part of an ongoing partnership between Costa Crociere and the regional employment services that has already helped 390 peoplejoin the cruise company since 2017.
