The antique and artisan market “Un Pozzo di Occasioni” will return to Opicina on Saturday, March 22. Organized by the cultural association Cose di Vecchie Case in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste, the event has been rescheduled from its previous monthly date and will now take place on the fourth Saturday of each month through the end of 2025.
The open-air market, which runs from 8 a.m. until sunset, features a curated selection of antiques, vintage items, handcrafted goods, and collectibles. Exhibitors from across the Friuli Venezia Giulia region will showcase vinyl records, comics, ceramics, lacework, jewelry, and Murano glass, among other items.
The event is intended to promote tourism and support the local economy by drawing visitors to the Karst village of Opicina. The market’s name refers to its proximity to the Stele di Zinzendorf, an 18th-century monument commemorating a key commercial route linking Trieste with Vienna.
The next edition is scheduled for April 26, weather permitting. The association Cose di Vecchie Case, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023, organizes similar events in municipalities across the region.
