Wine enthusiasts and industry professionals will gather on March 29, 2025, for Teranum, an international food and wine festival dedicated to indigenous red wines from the Karst region. The event, which highlights the excellence of local wine making traditions, will take place at the Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton in Trieste from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The festival showcases wines produced in the area stretching from Muggia to Doberdò del Lago, encompassing both the Italian and Slovenian Karst. Known for its rugged limestone terrain and distinct microclimate, the region has cultivated a reputation for bold, character-driven red wines, including the native Terrano grape.
