On Saturday, April 5, the event “Learning by Walking – Lectures in Nature by the Scientific Museums of Trieste” will welcome both longtime residents and newcomers to explore one of the city’s natural treasures. Designed to introduce Trieste’s newest citizens to the local environment, the event will be conducted in English to foster inclusivity.

Nicola Bressi, a naturalist and zoologist curator at the Trieste Natural History Museum, will lead a guided walk titled “Knowing the Boschetto: An Extraordinary City Forest.” Participants will traverse the trails of this urban forest, learning about its history, flora, fauna, landscape, and unique management practices.

The event is free and open to all, with advance registration available via a downloadable form at this link. Completed forms must be submitted in paper format. Alternatively, participants may register on-site at the meeting point on April 5 at 3:15 p.m. at Largo Caduti di Nassirya, near the MIB School of Management. The area is accessible via bus lines 11 and 25.

Attendees are advised to wear appropriate hiking shoes and be prepared for uneven trails.
