On Sunday, April 20, the renowned venue BASE, located in the Bay of Sistiana (Duino Aurisina, Trieste), will host an early and special opening for the Easter weekend, featuring a memorable music event. The celebration will begin at 11:00 PM with a performance by DJ and producer Albert Marzinotto.
Marzinotto, a well-known figure in the electronic music scene, has built a reputation for his innovative approach to dance music. He is recognized for combining musical exploration with the energy of the dancefloor, creating unique remixes and live sets that include his signature use of vinyl records. This stands in contrast to the growing trend of electronic music producers relying on digital tools like computers and controllers.
“Each year, we aim to organize events that make the region more attractive, even beyond the traditional seasonal programming,” said Fabio Carli, Artistic Director of BASE. “We want to diversify our offerings with targeted events, both sporadic and pre-seasonal, in addition to our summer calendar, to appeal to a broader audience and better serve the varied tastes of our public.”
The event marks the first in a series of planned performances at BASE, with another significant date scheduled for April 30, when the venue will collaborate with Club Moritzino, a well-known spot in Alta Badia, to host another night of music.
Albert Marzinotto has earned recognition for his dynamic and diverse performances. His music, often characterized by creative live sets, drum machines, and live electronic drums, has gained support from several top-tier underground DJs such as Loco Dice, Marco Carola, and Luciano. Marzinotto has also collaborated with notable DJ-producers like Pirupa and Tapesh, contributing to a catalog of productions that showcase his deep commitment to sound experimentation.
As a producer, Marzinotto continues to explore new sonic territories, collaborating with musicians, producers, and DJs to push the boundaries of electronic music.
