After a bright and breezy start to the weekend, FVG bracing for a week of unsettled weather that could dampen Easter celebrations.
Saturday is expected to offer a brief respite from recent gloom, with sunshine and mild temperatures spreading across the plains. Coastal areas, however, will remain cooler, with light breezes keeping conditions fresh and the sea lingering at a brisk 13 degrees Celsius (55°F).
But the pleasant spell will be short-lived. By Sunday, skies will begin to cloud over, with scattered showers likely during the day and a higher chance of rainfall by evening.
A more significant change in the weather pattern is set to arrive at the start of the new week. Meteorologists are forecasting a marked deterioration on Monday and Tuesday, with widespread cloud cover and heavy rainfall, particularly over the Prealpine region. Rainfall in the plains is expected to be abundant, while coastal areas may see slightly less intense downpours. Temperatures will hover around seasonal norms, between 15 and 16 degrees Celsius (59–61°F), accompanied by scirocco winds sweeping in from the southeast, especially along the coast on Tuesday.
Looking ahead to Easter Week, the forecast offers little reprieve. Rain is expected to persist at least through Good Friday, April 18, with a possible pause on Saturday. However, forecasters remain uncertain about the outlook for Easter Sunday.
The gloomy forecast comes after a notably chilly week, with temperatures remaining below seasonal averages. Warmer days may be on the horizon, though, as models suggest a gradual return to more typical spring conditions as the week progresses.
