At a ceremony marking Italy’s Liberation Day, Trieste’s mayor was met with whistles and chants, while other speakers called for European unity and the recognition of Palestine. The event, held at the former Nazi concentration camp Risiera di San Sabba, drew a full crowd of 2,200 and highlighted both historical memory and current political tensions.
