A regional initiative aimed at bridging the gap between education and employment will take place on May 26 in the northeastern town of Latisana. Organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government in collaboration with the Municipality of Latisana and the E. Mattei high school, the Latisana Job Day is designed to foster direct connections between young people and local companies.

“We are testing a new format that includes secondary schools, with the goal of introducing students to the working world by giving them the opportunity to participate in real job interviews,” said Alessia Rosolen, the regional councilor for Labor and Training, during the presentation of the event at the regional offices in Udine. “It’s an evolution of the traditional recruiting day, one that better engages the local community and promotes stronger links between education and the regional economy.”

The event will unfold in two parts. The morning session—Professional Edition—will feature formal interviews for candidates who have submitted their résumés by May 18. In the afternoon, the School Edition will allow students aged 18 and older to take part in brief, five-minute introductory meetings with prospective employers.

Twelve companies will participate in the event, collectively offering around 120 job opportunities. The job fair will be held at the former equestrian station on Via Beorchia 22, from 9 a.m. to noon for professional candidates, and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for students.

Job seekers must submit their résumés through a dedicated link on the region’s official website. Interviews are being organized in partnership with the employment agency Manpower Spa.

Participating employers include Agrituristica Lignano Srl Gruppo Andretta (based in Lignano Sabbiadoro), a company that manages tourist complexes and related infrastructure; Adriacos SpA (Latisana), a general construction firm involved in both public and private projects; and Art.Co. Servizi Soc. Coop. (Palmanova), a cooperative active across a wide range of service sectors.
