Authorities have issued a yellow-level weather alert for Monday, covering nearly all of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, as forecasts predict significant rainfall and possible thunderstorms.

The Regional Civil Protection Department announced the advisory following updates from the regional weather center, which indicated that a low-pressure system is expected to bring widespread precipitation throughout the day. Accumulations may be substantial in some areas, with conditions particularly unstable in the mountains and foothills.

While the alert is not the highest on the scale, it indicates the potential for local disruptions, including flash flooding, rising water levels in smaller streams, and minor landslides in vulnerable terrain. Officials are urging residents to exercise caution, particularly when traveling or planning outdoor activities.

The notice does not currently extend to the far northeastern tip of the region near Tarvisio, where weather is expected to be more stable.

Municipal administrations have been notified, and monitoring of at-risk zones is ongoing. Authorities emphasized that while no major hazards are currently anticipated, the evolving nature of springtime weather requires continued vigilance.

This advisory follows a period of relatively dry weather across the region. No interruptions to public services have been reported at this time.
