A ceremony commemorating decorated military personnel and celebrating the Italian infantry corps will take place on Saturday, May 24, at the Parco della Rimembranza on San Giusto Hill at 9.45 am.

The event, known as the Giornata del Decorato al Valor Militare – Festa dell’Arma di Fanteria, is organized in cooperation with the provincial federation of the Istituto del Nastro Azzurro and the Trieste Infantrymen’s Association. The two groups will jointly mark their respective annual observances: the Day of the Decorated for Military Valor and the Infantry Corps Day.

The Parco della Rimembranza, a memorial park containing 1,264 commemorative stones honoring the fallen, will serve as the backdrop for the ceremony. The site, deeply tied to Trieste’s historical memory, has long been a focal point for military and civic remembrance.
