Amanti Infelici (the unhappy lovers) is a traveling performance which begins in Molo Bersaglieri and travels all the way to Stazione Centrale, promoted by Il Rossetti in collaboration with University of Trieste.
The audience follows the actors as their lives play out with the backdrop of the Adriatic sea, through the streets of Cavana and on to Trieste’s central station.
“Trieste’s iconic places are being reinterpreted and relieved through these performances,” explains Laura Peschiar, a professor of English Literature at the University of Trieste. “The streets, piers, piazzas are being “read” as if they were pages of a book. They become the stage for love stories, heartbreaks and serendipitous encounters.”
Amanti Infelici stories will be lead by the university researchers Sara Caretta, Enrica Milanese, Marta Maria Ricci and Alessandro Valenti, together with actors Zoe Pernici and Yuri D’Agostino.
Tickets cost 8 euros and can be purchased at Il Rossetti or ticket point in Corso Italia.
Performance starts at 7 pm in Molo Bersaglieri, July 20-23.
