The Peratoner group is continuing its expansion in Trieste with the acquisition of Caffè Tommaseo, after Caffè degli Specchi and La Bomboniera – all classy historical places.

“We are thrilled to be adding Caffè Tommaseo to our growing restaurant group. Each property has been a local favorite for each community they serve, and they fit really well into our plans for offering a great local gathering place with a unique atmosphere and exceptional food choices for our guests,” Giuseppe Faggioto said in a statement last week.

Caffè Tommaseo is currently closed for renovations and will reopen in early September. Diners can expect a new menu of bar food and “gourmet entrees.”

“Historical cafes are never going out of style,” added Faggioto who was very pleased with the acquisition which he called “another dream come true”.
