“A Light Always On” initiative sees Sala Luttazzi in the Old Port become the stage for numerous performances this week util Sunday, October 24.

Tuesday 19 October 2021 / 8.30 p.m.: Riccardo Gileno band – in concert

After publishing his first album “In Tune” in May 2021, the Trieste singer-songwriter Riccardo Gileno presents his work live accompanied by his excellent band, composed by Matteo Brenci, Marco Vattovani, Francesco Cainero and Alberto Bravin. Concert sponsored by the cultural association Jam Art.

Wednesday, October 20, 2021 / 8.30 p.m. Disney Project

Disney Project is a concert created in collaboration with Francesca Giordano, jazz piano, singing and composition teacher at the music school of the Civic Wind Orchestra “G. Verdi”. The event aims to transport the listener into the magical atmosphere of Disney soundtracks (and more), but also to address important issues that the animated films have developed through the characters. The songs will be proposed in a jazzy way with an ensemble of 15 elements including winds, voices, drums, guitar, bass and piano / keyboard. Francesca Giordano, in addition to having arranged the songs, will will play the piano and sing, as well as present.

Thursday, October 21 / 8.30 pm: Giovanni Bellucci, the Orchestral Pianist

Video concert in which will be presented the exceptional method of music dissemination of Maestro Giovanni Bellucci, the “Orchestral Pianist” protagonist of two recent video concerts dedicated to the Sinfonia fantastica and the Aroldo in Italia. The evolution of the project will also be announced with the upcoming realization of five audio and video transmissions dedicated to Luigi Dallapiccola in this event sponsored by the Circolo Istria.

Friday, October 22 / 8.30 pm: The Invisible Cities – Alaska Project Band

Based on “The Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino with animation, notes, singing and speeches. A show for all ages. Have you ever imagined seeing a live animation of “The Invisible Cities”? Have you ever heard songs about the tales of Marco Polo and Kublai Khan? Have you ever thought it possible to hear Calvino’s words in perfect harmony with all of this?
Lorenzo Zuffi, will be the voice between speeches and songs. Notes full of panoramics, emotions and suggestions of Riccardo Buiatti (guitar), the rhythms in a mixture of rock/post-rock and hip-hop of Raffaele Tenaglia (drums/guitar) and the visual works in a succession of buildings, animals, colors, places, geometries, fantasies, created with the technique of paper carving and animated strictly live by Elena Perco (illustrator and paper artist) making this show a unique work of great beauty and involvement.
50 minutes in total. This is the interesting proposal of “Invisible Cities” by Alaska Project Band, sponsored by the Cultural Association Vitamina T.

Saturday, October 23rd / 7:00 p.m.: Concert A Look to the East 

“Carta bianca al Duo Sinossi” 
was born from the desire of the Chamber Music Association to create musical residencies to follow the growth of young chamber musicians proposing scores not in the repertoire, to the audience. The Duo Sinossi, formed by the well-known and successful pianist Lorenzo Cossi and the cellist Marianna Sinagra, had carte blanche in the program’s choice “Uno sguardo ad est”, with music by Strauss, Mendelssohn, Dvorak and Janacek. In this concert the Duo Sinossi will be joined by violinist Francesco De Angelis.*entrance fee*

Sunday, October 24 / 7:00 p.m.: Concert A Look to the East
