Her long fiery red hair danced around her face, getting in her sight. She stared into the moonlight, pushing her bangs out of the way and letting the wind caress her face. She walked near the Grand Canal looking directly towards the church of Sant’ Antonio. She could vaguely hear the tiny pieces of glass colliding with the floor and the shouting coming from the innocent streets, she sat on the third step of Sant’Antonio. That’s when she felt it, the first snowflake of winter. She looked up, this was it, winter had passed by to say hi. She quickly stood up and started walking through the quickly increased snow. She arrived at Piazza Unita and started zigzagging through the lighted Christmas trees as she felt more and more snowflakes hug her on this winter night.
Her bright green eyes shone with excitement at the sight of the soft hail in front of her. The big star light gleamed off her eyes as she stared at it intently before looking around. She beamed at the city, each year the lights and trees would be the same but they never ceased to amaze her. She looked up at the stars wishing Christmas would last forever. She sat down in front of one of the trees taking it all in. She looked up and found herself staring at flashes of colors in the air, she started to reach for one as if she could touch them but felt that her numb, bare hands couldn’t move any further, that’s when she started to wish she had brought her gloves but was distracted by the sounds of people coming of of their houses. She was about to leave, when she heard kids and adults, tall and small singing together Christmas carols. Her heart was filled with glee as she heard them chant, but what surprised her the most was when she heard herself sing softly along. Angel then walked towards the people that sang, pushed her red hair out of the way and as she sang a tear dropped down her face and as it crashed to the floor, she knew that she was at home.
