The time has come to talk of many things, said president of Friuli Venezia Giulia Massimiliano Fedriga as he opened the end-of-the-year conference this morning, 23 December.
“Our region has made a huge effort from various points of view in this past 2021 year. We are the second region in Italy that makes most covid swabs, and that’s also why we have one of the highest numbers in our region- we are better informed.”

“We have given various resources – 18,5 million in funds- to numerous entities which were dramatically penalized during these past two pandemic years” added Fedriga.

“We risked closing restaurants, swimming pools and other places thus Super Green pass was introduced to save the many businesses from closure. The perspective of remaining open and preserving economic safety was worth it.”

“We like to take care of families here in FVG. The daycare is free from second kid on, there are incentives for unemployed mothers” added Regional Councilor for work and education, Rosolen. “Family has always been at the center or our region’s interest.”
Councilor Bini chimed in saying that “2021 has been a difficult year but full of grand events. 70 billion in funds were proposed by our region for the entrepreneurial activities on our territory. We’ll reap what we sowed come 2022.”

“World of sport and culture was able to program and reprogram as needed and thanks to the immense help from vaccinations we can call this past 2021 a grand success” said regional councilor for sport and tourism Gibelli.
“Upgrading of various touristic attractions was on the front burner for our region this past summer. Many seaside places got an upgrade,” added councilor Bini.
“We are a small region so for us promotion like “FVG live”, “Io Sono FVG” (I am FVG) and others are essential” added president Fedriga.

“The word for 2022 should be hope” chimed in Riccardo Riccardi. “The hope in better health situation around the world, of course.”
“Major funds – 300 million euro- were assigned for “competitiveness & development” initiatives. We would like to attract the big international players which will make FVG a strategic place in the center of Europe. This will be a huge advantage for all businesses on our territory,” concluded Fedriga while talking about the future of our region.
