TSFF: Big Night For Big Screen In Trieste

After last year’s online version, Trieste Film Festival returned last night to cinemas for its 33rd edition. During next seven days audience will be watching numerous feature and short films, as well as documentaries.

“Last year we were online, but now the show must go on” said the president of Trieste Film Festival Monica Goti at the last night gala opening. She explained that Festival online form will continue to exist on the national level from 26th to 30th January.

Award “Eastern star” for the best film went to “Evolution” written and directed by Kata Weber and Kornel Mundruczò . It’s a story about trauma and search for identity, that was presented as an opening film of this year’s festival.

The critic’s syndicate presented awards for best national and international films.

“Ariaferma” directed by Leonardo di Costanzo was voted the best Italian film, while the Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s “Drive my car” won the title of the best international film.

Trieste Film Festival was supported this year by Regional Government, Ministry of culture and numerous associations and organizations.
