Peter Brown, director of British school of Friuli Venezia Giulia, will present “Arsenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesselring tonight at Café Rossetti at 6 pm.

The show, which debuts at Il Rossetti on Saturday, 19 February, will be star Anna Maria Guarnieri and Marilù Prati.

“Aresenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesselring is a hilarious comedy in two acts. Two seemingly innocent aunts are doing “charity” work by poisoning lonely old men and burying them in their basement. Their nephew Mortimer, a theater critic in love with the minister’s daughter, discovers their activity, and frantically tries to keep them and his brother Teddy out of jail. Running almost 1,500 performances in its original staging, it was called “swift, dry, satirical and exciting,” and “so funny that none of us will ever forget it” by Brooks Atkinson of the New York Times.

Entry to Café Rossetti is free for all holders of Super Green Pass wearing Ffp2 masks.
