Friday night at the Verdi theater was a swirl of energy and activity, full of promise for a thrilling performance ahead.

As the curtain rose, a symbolic and important moment in the theatrical experience, the audience was immersed in the 70’s Rome through magnificent scenography and impeccable outfits, which brought Don Pasquale to life.

Musical director Roberto Gianola along with Gianni Marras were excited to welcome us into some very special stories – magnificently portrayed by Antonino Siragusa, Nina Muho, Vincenzo Nizzardo and Pablo Ruiz – so powerfully aligned with our times.

Opera stories open up new worlds, new experiences, new emotions; and they allow us to connect with what we ourselves are feeling and help us make sense of those feelings. Donizetti’s Don Pasquale does just that – in the most impeccable of ways.

Don Pasquale is a must-see opera for all Donizetti (and Teatro Verdi) lovers, on stage again tonight, 2 April, at 4 pm. Followed by Sunday at 4 pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8.30 pm.
