We don’t know about you, but the moment our governor Fedriga mentioned “physical activity in the open air” in his speech last night, we turned the sound on, and then a little louder.
In a brief and to the point statement (around 3 minutes) Fedriga informed Friuli Venezia Giulia public of the new updated laws in place starting midnight (with a tentative expiration date of May 3rd). The new and updated laws include:
- Wearing a mask or anything else that covers your nose and mouth the moment you walk out the door.
- Physical activity outside in the vicinity of your home is allowed as long as you wear a mask and keep at least 1 meter distance from other people.
- Always wear a mask and gloves at the supermarket
- Stores are to offer antibacterial gel or gloves to their customers
- Anyone with a 37,5 fever must stay home
- Only one family member at a time is allowed to go to the store
- All stores will remain closed on Sundays. Pharmacies will remain open.
Fedriga underlined that Friuli Venezia Giulia is the Italian region with the lowest number of cases and that it is due to the continuous restrictive measures in place. He thanked all residents for their diligent attitude in this emergency and warned everyone against letting their guards down. “If we have people disobeying, we will need to impose stricter rules,” said Fedriga in his online speech to FVG public on Easter Monday, April 13th. The governor underlined that all of these measures are here to stay until the vaccine for the virus is found.
We hope you have a wonderful day jogging, jumping and squatting outside of your apartment building!
