Exhibition of Triestine painter Piero Marussig was presented on Thursday at Museo Sartorio, and is now open to public 8 July – 9 October.
“After being baptized by fire in the Parisian art world Marussig came back to Trieste to paint “the colors” of his hometown. Later, when he sold his villa and moved to Milan, he became one of the most prominent painters of ‘900,” explained the museum’s curator Lorenza Resciniti. “The view from the windows of Sartorio’s museum resemble that on the paintings of Marussig.”
Marussig’s exhibit is free of charge and can be visited daily until 5 pm.
