Another fire flared up early morning 11 August in the Duino area resulting SS 14 road closure, reports Il Piccolo.
The blaze broke out around 9 am in the wooded area behind the Duino’s Conad supermarket, traveling to Rilke trail. According to local media reports, the fire appears to be under control.
“We are monitoring the situation closely and it is under control,” reported the mayor of Duino-Aurisina, Mitja Petelin.
SS 14 road has been closed in the direction of Trieste. Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene to tackle the flame and stop traffic on SS 14 state road.
