Muggia is definitely the place to be this summer with the summer carnival taking over 8-15 August.

“For all the tastes” is the phrase that opens the traditional Carnival Estivo this 2023. Music, cabaret, entertainment, and gastronomy are the different things you will find there. Every day from 18:30 in Piazzale Caliterna gastronomic stands of companies that have been animating the event since 1420 will be set up.

While some of the old traditions remain, new choices come with the festival of Muggia every season. The godmother is one of the main novelties, and will be announced directly on stage on August 15: the honor can be given to one of the three candidates: Giulia Luin, Francesca Vogrig, or Virginia Bernobic.

There’ll be football tournaments, Carnevalbaskets, and CarnevalVolley, for male, female, and mixed categories.

Not limited to the entertainment and fun, the festival includes the opening of The Carnival Museum from 10 am to 12 pm, every Saturday and Sunday until August 27.

Not to be missed is the sea parade on Sunday, 13 August with various other events to take part in.

All events are free and open to public.
