Sandra Hanks Benoiton, the sister of popular Hollywood movie star Tom Hanks, has said that she considers herself lucky to live in Italy.
Speaking to the British newspaper The Daily Mail, Hanks Benoiton broke her silence about her brother after he and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for Coronavirus while in Australia.
Tom Hanks’ older sister has lived with her family in Pordenone in northeast Italy since 2016.
“I’m lucky to be here, the spirit of the people is amazing!” – she said in reference to Italy’s response to the virus emergency before adding: “The US and UK are failing miserably, however.”
