Contemporary circus, shows, street art performances and workshops take off on Wednesday, July 5 in Muggia, an event that over the years has attracted 50 thousand spectators and artists from all over the world.

The Muja Buskers Festival is organized by the Sparpagliati Association whose 7th edition includes some 50 events in different venues in Muggia including the Chapiteau big circus tent, the Verdi Theater, and the library gardens.

Produced with the contributions from the Ministry of Culture, the FVG Region and the Municipality of Muggia, the Muja Buskers Festival attracts spectators from all over northern Italy, and from neighboring Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.

“The idea of the Festival,” explains Sparpagliati Association president, Anna Zecchini, is “to reinvent public spaces, to create bridges between live performances and active associationism, in the maintenance of art and culture as a common heritage usable by all generations.”

Appointments include juggling and acrobatics shows such as “Laerte” (an Italy-France production), “Curtain Call” (Germany), “Mr. Dyvinetz” (Chile) and “El Goma” (Argentina).
