Eight nights of music and youth: The second edition of the PGT summer festival starts
Throughout eight events Trieste will see local, national, and international bands perform live from 21 July to September 07 with young emerging artists from diverse musical backgrounds.
The festival that will take place in Polo Giovanni Toti has plenty of options to choose from, with proposals ranging from two nights of hip hop, one of punk, rock, indie rock, electronic, and more. From jazz to indie, every night is free entrance depending on the availability.

The initiative is part of the CAD project (Active Democratic Involvement) and represents an opportunity for young music groups to perform (especially from Trieste), as the event was born out of their request. Their goal is clear: open themselves to a wider audience while on stage for cultural and social promotion. The representatives of the project, started in 2022 and extended to 2023, believe that giving space for the freedom of expression is essential not to divert the youth to the wrong places and substances.
Baya Rinchinmova, Vice president of the AGM Centri Studi di Cervignano, highlighted that this summer the artistic committee was made up of professionals and volunteers from associations accredited by the PAG (Youth Area Project).
The organization of these evenings is possible thanks to the effort and economic support by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers-Department for Youth Policies, and the Universal Civil Service, but also with the sponsorship of the University of Trieste and FVG Regional School Office.
“The goal is to offer opportunities to get together and listen to good music”, said the councilor Maurizio De Blasio. For him, the young are an important part of the community, and allowing artistic spaces that promote participation and freedom is necessary.
The organization is committed to building a stage and strengthening the musical identity of Trieste. Due to that, the work involves volunteers and specialized artists, as well as local, famous, and first-time performance artists.
