From America to Italy, the new trend of savoring the experience of staying in the places of cinema is spreading. The new update of the “FVG Film Locations” portal, dedicated to film tourism in Friuli Venezia Giulia (www.cineturismofvg.com), is now online, which brings with it the addition of twenty-two (22) accommodation facilities that have been film sets. From America to Italy, the new trend of trying the experience of staying in the places of cinema is spreading.

“FVG Film Locations” is the offspring of “Cineturismo: promotion of cinema locations in FVG”, a broad communication project conceived and implemented by Studio Sandrinelli and Divulgando, with the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the collaboration of the FVG Film Commission and the Cineteca di Gemona, to which numerous partners adhered including the Palazzo del Cinema Association of Gorizia, the Hotel Riviera and Maximilian, the Savoia Excelsior Palace and the Spessa Castle.

With a few quick steps, the traveler can discover all the characteristics of the desired hotel structure through the presence of photos, descriptions, related services, curiosities and the films associated with it. There is no shortage of contacts to ensure that the user can, in complete autonomy, check availability and request further information directly from the individual structures.

Cineturismo – also known as film tourism – is a form of tourism that attracts millions of travelers all over the world and is growing rapidly in Italy as well. Journalist Michele Casella also underlines this in a recent article published in Il Sole24 Ore, a sign of a consolidated evolution of the habits of the increasingly curious, attentive tourist/traveler looking for new experiences to share with the local community.
