Twenty venues in the city will be involved in the second edition of the Trieste Cocktail Week, which will offer innovative and creative ideas, with particular attention to the territory and local products. And all of them are already ready to amaze the audience.
“Trieste Cocktail Week is an event that aims to promote a particular segment of catering – explains the deputy mayor Tonel – which has returned to enhancing the professionalism and excellent products of the area, with special attention also to the ingredients and all the raw materials of Trieste and Friuli Venezia Giulia”.
Elisabetta Nonino recalled that “our family always grows in the area, and when we proposed to participate in the Trieste Cocktail Week, we immediately embraced the idea with joy and enthusiasm”
“The objective – underlines Polojac, creative director of the festival – will support the growth of the sector, which also recorded a significant profit in Trieste, contributing to further diversification and consumption of this world”.
The cocktail bars of the city involved in this edition are twenty, eight more than last year: the Antico Caffè San Marco, the Antico Caffè Torino, the Berlam Coffee Tea & Cocktail (Double Tree by Hilton), the ‘Hydro City, the Bar Buffet Borsa, Al Barcollo, the Mast, the Mor, the Retro, the 040 Social food, the Draw, the Pier The Roof, the Puro, El Bufo, La Corte Café, The Modernist, N’joy Food&Drink, La Muta, Ai Fiori and Wolf Bar.
Throughout the week, each venue will provide a “drink list” created ad hoc for the occasion. Polojac explains that “this year we have chosen not to create an official menu, but to leave the cocktail bars and their bartenders free to create any proposal at will. However – he specifies – ideas will all play on the binomial territoriality and innovation, where the first element refers to two ingredients of Trieste’s drinking culture that must not be missing in drinks: coffee, as Trieste is the city of excellent coffee, thing this time will be used but in the form of liqueur; Sparkling wine and Prosecco, of which the area boasts a long production tradition. The innovative aspect is represented by the use of parrots in the miscellanies”.
