Italy is set to usher in a wave of cold, rainy weather this weekend after enjoying an extended Indian summer with higher than usual temperatures for October, forecasters said.
The unseasonably warm period, which has seen temperatures reach 10 degrees above normal, is set to last until Saturday night, according to Il Meteo weather forecast website.
Bora winds are expected to hit Trieste starting from Sunday morning with all public gardens closed for the day.
In the meantime hordes of people are to hit the beaches this Saturday in Friuli Venezia Giulia, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celsius in recent days.
