As the year comes to a close, the Teatro Verdi invites the community to celebrate the last night of the year with a musical extravaganza featuring a stellar lineup of classical and contemporary performances.
The traditional New Year’s Eve Lyrical-Symphonic Gala, under the baton of Deutsche Oper Berlin’s Kapellmeister Giulio Cilona, promises a lively start with bel canto masterpieces by Rossini, Donizetti, and Bellini. The orchestra and choir, led by Cilona, set the stage for an unforgettable night.
The spotlight shines on three young voices of remarkable talent: the acclaimed Puglian soprano Giuliana Gianfaldoni, bel canto specialist Alessia Nadin on mezzo-soprano, and the robust tenor Marco Ciaponi. Together, they promise to deliver a performance that transcends boundaries and captivates the audience.
The gala marks the culmination of a special year for Teatro Verdi, characterized by a relentless pursuit of quality, innovation, and inspiration for the local and increasingly international audience. The program seamlessly blends the brilliance of Bernstein’s musicals with the lighthearted gems of Opéra Comique by André Messager and the Zarzuela of Gerónimo Giménez.
