In a whirlwind Epiphany celebration, the Slovenian and Triestine Karst played host to the adrenaline-fueled S1 Bora Run 2024 on Saturday, January 6th. This high-octane event, dedicated to the thrilling world of trail running, has solidified its status as a winter sports juggernaut on the global calendar.

We interviewed Nicole Guidolin, a local with a strong passion for trail running, on winning the 58km race in 6 hours and 16 minutes.

Crafted by the masterminds at ASD Sentiero Uno, along with an army of collaborators, this edition saw a staggering 2,206 participants breaking records. Hailing from a diverse array of around forty countries, these trailblazers took on the challenge across the eight dynamic distances on the program.

The Bora Run is more than just a race; it’s a testament to the spirit of international competition and camaraderie. As the winter winds howled across the picturesque landscapes, runners from across the globe left their mark on the trails, etching another chapter in the ever-growing saga of extreme sports.
