The Zoncolan once again serves as the training ground for several national women’s teams gearing up for the upcoming World Cup events in Soldeu, Andorra, on February 10-11. Alongside the Swedish team, the Austrian athletes will also join in the coming days in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
From February 4 to 6, the Swedish team returns for a couple of training days, selecting Ravascletto-Zoncolan as their headquarters in preparation for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics. In early January, from the 3rd to the 5th, they trained on the Zoncolan track 1 in anticipation of the Kranjska Gora World Cup leg. Among those present is champion Sara Hector, fresh from a brilliant second place in the latest World Cup giant slalom in Plan de Corones. Alongside the Swedes, the Austrian slalom and giant slalom skiers will also be present, including slalom world champion and Olympic team gold medalist Katharina Liensberger and Katharina Truppe, Olympic team gold medalist and team silver medalist at the World Championships.
From tomorrow until Sunday, Forni di Sopra takes center stage for the 40th edition of the Biberon Trophy, organized by the Sci Club 70 of Trieste. The event is ready to welcome over 1000 young skiers from Italy and abroad to compete in junior alpine and nordic skiing races on the Cimacuta slope in the Friulian Dolomites.
For this weekend as well, all facilities and slopes remain open across the six ski areas in the region, with skiing available throughout the Di Prampero in Tarvisio. Additionally, night skiing resumes from 8 pm to 11 pm on Fridays.
