Nurseries and Preschools

Teaming up with local districts and neighborhood associations, the carnival will kick off with masked parades on February 8th in San Giacomo and Campi Elisi, featuring children from nurseries and preschools. On February 9th, the carnival spirit will sweep through the streets of Barriera Nuova, Borgo San Sergio, Valmaura, and Borgo San Nazario – Prosecco.

Celebrations in Recreational Centers

For Trieste’s recreational centers, the carnival isn’t just an event; it’s an integral part of their programming. The Servola Parade

The highlight of the festivities will undoubtedly be the Recreators Parade on February 9th, starting at 5 PM from the Gentilli Recreational Center in Servola. Themes to Delight

Each recreational center has embraced a unique theme, with masks and costumes crafted by the children themselves in workshops held over the past weeks. From “Lucchini’s Gnomes” to “Pitteri’s Animagi” and “Gentilli’s Verdilli Charge,” the creativity knows no bounds. Get ready to step into fantastical worlds with themes like “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “Hogwarts and Beyond,” and “Mary Poppins.”
