In the chambers of Trieste’s Municipal Council this morning, Deputy Mayor Serena Tonel unveiled the eagerly anticipated “Trieste in Bloom and Spring Delights” event to the press. Scheduled to grace the city from March 16 to 24, the affair promises a fusion of floral splendor and seasonal delights.

Addressing the media, Deputy Mayor Tonel highlighted the significance of “Trieste in Bloom,” hailing it as a cornerstone of the city’s spring calendar and a magnet for crowds. She underscored its pivotal role in kickstarting the region’s commercial activities, expressing gratitude to both dedicated organizers and the enthusiastic public.

In collaboration with Assofiori Italia, the Municipality of Trieste is orchestrating the 20th installment of this floral extravaganza, set against the picturesque backdrop of Viale XX Settembre. Over nine days, this beloved thoroughfare will morph into a vibrant tapestry of blooms and botanical wonders, drawing visitors from far and wide.

With over 35 exhibitors showcasing an array of flora, gardening paraphernalia, and artisanal delights, the event aims to cater to diverse interests. Attendees can anticipate not only a feast for the senses but also educational sessions on plant care and environmental stewardship.

A highlight of the festivities is the eagerly anticipated “Golden Flower” award, recognizing outstanding floral compositions. Against a backdrop of creativity and camaraderie, artists will vie for top honors, adding an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.

Under the patronage of Barbara Guldin and the esteemed Nonna Marina, known affectionately as the “grandmother of all Triestines,” the event promises a blend of tradition and innovation. Media partners, including Radio Punto Zero and Trieste Cafe, will ensure widespread coverage, further cementing the event’s status as a cultural mainstay.
