“Supersex,” a groundbreaking Netflix series chronicling the life and legacy of renowned Italian adult film star Rocco Siffredi, premiered on March 6th via the streaming platform.
Spanning seven riveting episodes, the drama, available to audiences in over 190 countries, features esteemed Rome actor Alessandro Borghi embodying the persona of Siffredi.
At 36, Borghi, acclaimed for his portrayal of Aureliano in the popular Netflix series and film “Suburra,” brings depth and authenticity to the portrayal of Siffredi’s journey.
“Drawing from real-life accounts, the series delves into Rocco Siffredi’s remarkable ascent from modest beginnings to becoming the preeminent figure in the adult entertainment industry,” states the Netflix platform.
Loosely inspired by the life trajectory of the 59-year-old Siffredi, who boasts a staggering repertoire of over 1,300 adult films, “Supersex” introduces Jasmine Trinca as Lucia, a fictional character, alongside Adriano Giannini as Tommaso, Rocco’s half-brother, and Saul Nanni portraying a youthful Siffredi.
Crafted and scripted by Francesca Manieri, “Supersex” is helmed by directors Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini, and Francesca Mazzoleni.
Reflecting on the essence of the series, Manieri remarks, “‘Supersex’ is a narrative that unfolds over seven episodes and 350 minutes, culminating in the utterance of ‘I love you,’ as our protagonist grapples with reconciling the demons within him with the notion of love.
