Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport Spa has given the green light to its 2023 fiscal blueprint, revealing a remarkable surge in traffic volumes, investments, and financial fortunes. With a profit of 3.2 million euros, marking a significant 33% increase from 2022, the balance sheet underscores the airport’s resilience amid pandemic challenges, excluding the Covid Compensation Fund.
A historic milestone, 2023 witnessed the regional hub recording its highest-ever passenger count, welcoming 932,767 travelers, a notable 33.5% surge compared to the preceding year.
The airport’s economic vigor is further evidenced by its production value of 24 million euros, reflecting an impressive 18.2% rise from 2022, net of public contributions related to the Covid Compensation Fund. Meanwhile, the EBITDA stands at 6.5 million euros, showcasing a robust 16% growth over the previous year.
Despite economic turbulence, the airport’s net financial position remains solid at 3.6 million euros, compared to 5.8 million euros in 2022, indicating prudent financial management.
With investments totaling 11.8 million euros, the airport remains committed to enhancing its infrastructure and services, poised for continued growth and success in the aviation industry.
