The Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia has issued a yellow weather alert in anticipation of an impending bout of severe weather set to hit the region in the coming hours.
Scheduled to be enforced from 12 PM to 8 PM today, the alert primarily pertains to strong winds expected to sweep through the area.
According to the latest weather bulletin, a cold front originating from the northwest is poised to traverse the Alps today, significantly impacting the region. Anticipated consequences include gusty winds, particularly in the plains, foothills, and lagoon zones, with Trieste bracing for the infamous Bora winds. However, a gradual improvement is forecasted as the evening progresses.
