In a testament to Italian excellence revered worldwide, the Friuli Venezia Giulia region boasts the honor of hosting the Tricolor Arrows, a squadron of elite pilots known for their breathtaking aerial displays. Renowned for their precision and skill, the Tricolor Arrows have earned a distinguished reputation, owed largely to the professionalism of its members.

Recently, on the cusp of the exhibition season, the regional assessor for Safety seized the opportunity to extol the virtues of the squadron. Speaking at Rivolto Air Base, he emphasized the significance of the pilots as ambassadors for responsible driving, underscoring the importance of adhering to regulations for safer roads.

Under the banner of “Aim High, Respect the Rules,” the Automobile Club Udine launched a new campaign, now in its second year under the UD4Safety project funded by the Region. Collaborating with the Tricolor Arrows, the campaign juxtaposes typical driving behaviors with those exhibited in flight, reinforcing fundamental safety protocols such as vehicle maintenance, seatbelt usage, and adherence to traffic signals.

At the final acrobatic training session before the commencement of the official exhibition season, Commander Massimiliano Salvatore expressed gratitude to the region for its support. Reflecting on the parallels between safety in the skies and on the road, he emphasized the role of exemplary conduct in fostering a culture of safety.

Notably, Regulation 15/2022 allocated substantial funding to provincial Automobile Clubs for road safety initiatives, affirming the commitment to promoting safer driving practices across the region. As the Tricolor Arrows prepare to dazzle audiences worldwide, their partnership with local authorities underscores a shared dedication to ensuring safety both in the air and on the ground.
