Imagine the thrill of witnessing the sunrise in some of the Mediterranean’s most picturesque and historically rich locations. “The Dawn Spectacle – Inventions for Three Voices,” an original production by CoopCulture, promises to do just that. Running from June through August, this unique event will bring to life the historical, artistic, and archaeological marvels of Italy.

The inaugural event kicks off on June 2nd at the Miramare Castle Park at 5:30 a.m. Visitors will be treated to an immersive guided tour, enriched by carefully curated musical performances. The experience will seamlessly blend the natural beauty of the dawn with the evocative power of music, spanning centuries of history and culture.

This multisensory journey alternates between narrations by archaeologists and art historians and a diverse range of musical notes and voices. The eclectic repertoire, performed by three soloists, includes everything from Portuguese religious music to Britten’s Anglican carols, Campanian devotional songs to Fauré, Mozart to extended vocal techniques, and Sardinian sacred music to Georgian chants. Each piece is meticulously selected to highlight the natural and historical backdrop, enhancing the viewers’ appreciation of art and archaeology.

Following the performance at Miramare, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Castelletto and view the “KOSMOS. The Ship of Knowledge” exhibition, adding another layer to this enriching experience.

Subsequent performances are scheduled at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park on June 28th, with repeat shows on July 26th and August 30th. The Ostia Antica Archaeological Park will host the event on July 14th, July 28th, and August 11th. The tour will conclude with breathtaking dawn performances at the Valley of the Temples Archaeological and Landscape Park in Agrigento on August 8th, and at the Selinunte Archaeological Park on August 9th.

For those looking to combine art, history, and music in an extraordinary experience, “The Dawn Spectacle” is a must-see. Set your alarms and prepare to embark on this unforgettable journey through the Mediterranean’s most beautiful cultural sites.
