A new digital platform, “Borderless Wireless,” is set to significantly boost the appeal of the Nova Gorica Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025, particularly among younger audiences. Designed to seamlessly showcase the multitude of events and the touristic and hospitality potential of the involved regions, this initiative promises to create a compelling draw to the cross-border celebration.

Innovative Engagement for Youth

As the Go!2025 initiative gears up, its organizers are focusing on capturing the interest of new generations. The regional Finance Councillor highlighted during a press conference that “Borderless Wireless” aims to lay the groundwork for further development in the Friuli Venezia Giulia area while fostering the professional and educational growth of young people.

In light of the recent Giro d’Italia, the initiative can look to champions like Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar and Friulian cyclist Jonathan Milan as paragons of dedication, humility, and local pride. These athletes epitomize the qualities that Go!2025 seeks to inspire in the youth.

Comprehensive and Multilingual Digital Tool

Accessible at www.go2025.eu, “Borderless Wireless” is available in Italian, Slovenian, and English, making it a versatile tool for a broad audience. With seven months to go before Go!2025 kicks off, the platform already features 350 points of interest, over 1,800 accommodation options, and 350 events, numbers expected to grow significantly in the upcoming weeks.

A Confluence of Culture and Heritage

Nova Gorica and Gorizia’s role as the European Capital of Culture coincides with the Universal Jubilee of the Catholic Church, adding a layer of historical and spiritual significance to the event. Among the notable partners is the Aquileia Foundation, renowned for its efforts in promoting the archaeological and cultural heritage of the town of Aquileia, a key site in the spread of Christianity in Europe.

Symbolic Union of Regions

The Councillor emphasized the symbolic union of Gorizia, Nova Gorica, and Aquileia. These regions are connected through their shared Christian roots and values, which are essential to shaping the future of Europe. The ideal and profound embrace among these areas underscores the importance of cultural and historical connections in building a cohesive European identity.

As Go!2025 approaches, “Borderless Wireless” stands as a beacon of innovation and cultural engagement, promising to make the European Capital of Culture a memorable and transformative experience for all, especially the younger generations poised to carry its legacy forward.
