In the heart of Trieste, Italy, the stage is set for another captivating season of theatrical brilliance as the city’s esteemed theaters join forces once more to present the highly anticipated Let’s Play festival. After three resoundingly successful editions, Bonawentura/Teatro Miela La Contrada and the Teatro Stabile Sloveno are proud to reintroduce this cultural celebration, nestled within the vibrant Trieste Estate program.
Kicking off on June 6th with the riveting co-production “Trieste è il mare/Trst je morje” (reprised on June 20th and 27th), the festival promises a captivating array of performances, all staged against the stunning backdrop of the outdoor spaces at the Sartorio Museum, a testament to the city’s rich cultural heritage. This picturesque setting is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Trieste Municipality and Civic Museums.
This year, it’s Teatro Miela that takes center stage, leading the charge with three productions by Bonawentura. On June 8th, audiences are in for a treat with the premiere of “OBSOLETE” by the talented Stefano Dongetti. Blending elements of stand-up and sit-down comedy, Dongetti’s performance tackles contemporary themes with wit and charm, offering a humorous yet thought-provoking exploration of past, present, and future.
The following evening, June 9th, brings Laura Bussani’s “PARAORMONAL ACTIVITY SHOW” to the spotlight, directed by the visionary Ivan Zerbinati. Bussani’s one-woman extravaganza promises an hour of laughter and contemplation, delving into the quirks and complexities of modern life, from menopause and OnlyFans to social media obsessions and environmental concerns. With the incomparable Stefano Bembi accompanying on accordion, this promises to be a night to remember.
In the event of inclement weather, fear not, as the show will go on, relocating to the cozy confines of Teatro Miela.

The festival is made possible through the collaborative efforts of Bonawentura-Teatro Miela/La Contrada Teatro Stabile Di Trieste/Teatro Stabile Sloveno – Slovensko Stalno Gledališče, in partnership with the Municipality of Trieste.
