In the historic Piazza Unità d’Italia, the significance of the moment was palpable as education ministers from the Group of Seven (G7) nations, along with other global leaders, gathered in the heart of Trieste. The summit, seen as one of the most strategically important events of Italy’s G7 Presidency this year.

The Trieste summit brings together an impressive roster of participants: education ministers from the G7 countries, the European Commissioner for Education, leaders of the African Union, and representatives from key international organizations such as the OECD, UNESCO, and UNICEF.

Additionally, education ministers from Ukraine and Brazil are in attendance, making it a gathering of 17 heads of delegation and over 100 participants.

Two central themes dominate the agenda: enhancing talent to promote skill acquisition through personalized learning paths and reducing the gap between supply and demand in the labor market. These goals aim to bolster educational and occupational mobility for young people with specialized skills.
