Trieste is set to experience elevated levels of ozone starting tomorrow, July 25, through Sunday, July 28, according to an alert issued by local authorities.
The warning comes as forecasts from ARPA-FVG indicate that ozone concentrations are expected to exceed the 120 µg/m³ threshold, a level considered significant for public health.
In response, residents—especially those in sensitive groups such as the elderly, children, and individuals with respiratory conditions—are urged to take preventive measures to minimize exposure. The guidance for these precautions is detailed in a note from the Azienda Sanitaria n. 1 Triestina, dated January 3, 2013, which accompanies the alert.
