The Miramare Junction bypass, severely damaged by storms last year, has officially reopened after a swift and efficient reconstruction process.
The bypass, located along the picturesque Trieste coastline, was struck by significant storms on October 27 and November 5, 2023. These severe weather events caused extensive damage to the infrastructure, necessitating immediate repairs.
Work on the bypass commenced in early July, following a detailed assessment of the damage. The construction project focused on rebuilding the retaining wall at the base of the bypass, a crucial element for stabilizing the roadway and preventing future erosion.
