This weekend, San Giusto Castle will host a captivating historical experience as part of the ongoing series “The Seasons of Arms 2024.” On Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18, visitors are invited to step back in time and explore the rich history, weaponry, and culture of the 15th century through an immersive, educational journey titled “Condotte e uomini d’arme.”
The event, now in its fifth edition, is organized by the historical reenactment group “White Company,” known for their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to bringing history to life. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with costumed reenactors stationed throughout the castle grounds, offering insights into the daily lives of soldiers and the intricacies of medieval warfare.
This weekend’s event marks the fourth installment of the “The Seasons of Arms 2024” series, which has become a beloved tradition for history enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Designed to complement both the indoor and outdoor museum tours of San Giusto Castle, the series offers a unique blend of education and entertainment, making history accessible to all ages.
The educational stations, where visitors can interact with reenactors and examine period-specific artifacts, will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Guided tours are scheduled throughout the day, offering deeper dives into the historical context and significance of the displays. Tour times are set for 10:30 AM, 11:45 AM, 3:00 PM, 4:15 PM, and 5:30 PM.
In keeping with the inclusive spirit of the event, participation is free with the purchase of a general admission ticket to the castle.
