As Triestina Calcio enters the 2024-2025 season under new ownership, the club is taking a bold approach, focusing not only on success on the field but also on long-term investments in infrastructure and community engagement. Backed by a strong partnership with regional institutions, including main sponsor Friuli Venezia Giulia, the club aims to use sport as a means to foster values and elevate the region’s profile, signaling an ambitious vision for the future.

As Triestina Calcio prepares to embark on its 2024-2025 season, the club’s new ownership is casting its gaze well beyond the pitch, planning a future driven by strategic investments in both sport and infrastructure. The club, now in its second year under fresh leadership, has forged a strong alliance with local institutions. Chief among them is the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which has embraced a central role as the team’s main sponsor. The partnership, according to regional officials, reflects a shared belief in the dual power of sport: as a vehicle for transmitting societal values and as a key tool for raising the region’s profile on the national stage.

Governor Massimiliano Fedriga underscored this vision on Wednesday, speaking at the Rocco Stadium during the unveiling of Triestina’s upcoming campaign. The historic club, whose first team competes in Serie C, Italy’s third professional tier, is hoping for a strong season ahead.

The presentation featured the introduction of Triestina’s full roster and coaching staff, led by head coach Michele Santoni. While the summer transfer window remains open, the club appears optimistic about its current squad as the season opener approaches. On Saturday, the “Unione” will begin its campaign at Rocco Stadium against Arzignano Valchiampo, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.

Triestina’s new ownership has emphasized its commitment to long-term growth, not only focusing on the team’s performance on the field but also engaging with the local community and infrastructure development. For Friuli Venezia Giulia, the relationship with Triestina provides a unique opportunity to boost regional visibility through sport, an increasingly important vehicle for both civic pride and international attention in Italy.

As Triestina takes its first steps into the new season, its ambitions reach far beyond a single year of Serie C. The club is positioning itself as a dynamic force in Italian football, underpinned by a vision that extends well beyond the confines of the game.
