The series “Muggia in Music: Musical Itineraries in Historical Places,” which runs until September 27th, features four concerts.
This year’s fascinating and well-attended chamber music series in Muggia’s historical locations will once again showcase young musicians and graduates from our region and neighboring territories. With each event presenting different voices and instruments, the organizers are confident that these performances will captivate the audience.
The “Ottoni Scintillanti” from Friuli Venezia Giulia, in a chamber group formation, will perform on Friday, September 20th at 7:00 PM at the Church of San Francesco in Muggia. Their program promises to be both introspective and brilliant, showcasing the technical skills and vibrant tones of this family of instruments.
The final event of the series is scheduled for Friday, September 27th at 8:30 PM at the Church of San Rocco, featuring the renowned and established ensemble: the String Ensemble of Friuli and Veneto. This group, which includes violins, viola, cello, and harpsichord, will be joined by Andrea Sfetez on the natural horn. The program will feature works by Pachelbel, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Boccherini.
The concerts, organized by the Muggesana Serenade Ensemble Association, chaired by Roberta Vlahov, with the support of the Municipality of Muggia and the Parishes of SS. Giovanni and Paolo of Muggia and San Matteo of Zindis, bear the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” brand. Admission is free.
The “Serenade Ensemble” was born from the meeting of different instruments and musicians who, passionate about music, decided to come together to play and introduce the magical world of music to both children and adults.
