ESTECO, a Trieste-based engineering software company, celebrated its 25th anniversary by unveiling a new interactive exhibit at the Immaginario Scientifico museum. The exhibit, located at Magazzino 26 in Trieste, allows visitors to design a car, experimenting with aerodynamics and optimization in real time.
The exhibit invites users to modify the shape of a vehicle’s roof or bumper and see how changes affect fuel efficiency and performance. After three attempts, visitors can activate an algorithm that simulates the process engineers use to find the most efficient configuration.
Founded in 1999 by engineers Carlo Poloni, Enrico Nobile, and Luka Onesti, ESTECO has become a global leader in engineering optimization software. The company’s technology is used by over 400 organizations worldwide, including Honda, Toyota, Ford, and Whirlpool.
“Our international focus has driven our success, but we remain deeply connected to the scientific community here in Trieste,” said ESTECO President Carlo Poloni.
The exhibit is part of the museum’s Innova section, which explores applied science and technology. “It’s a privilege to host ESTECO’s new exhibit, especially on their 25th anniversary,” said Serena Mizzan, director of Immaginario Scientifico.
ESTECO continues to innovate, with a strong global presence and offices in the U.S. and India.
