Teatro Giuseppe Verdi’s 2024 symphony season is set to captivate audiences with an impressive lineup of concerts featuring internationally renowned soloists and conductors. The season runs from September 27 to December 22 and highlights a fusion of Romantic masterpieces with fresh interpretations by celebrated musicians.
On October 5, the second concert of the season brings Serbian violinist Stefan Milenkovich and rising star cellist Ettore Pagano to the stage, performing Brahms’ Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra—a rarely performed piece known for its emotional depth and complex backstory. The orchestra, under the direction of acclaimed German conductor Hartmut Haenchen, will also present Schumann’s Symphony No. 4.
Artistic Director Paolo Rodda emphasized the theatre’s commitment to nurturing young talent while maintaining its ties with seasoned artists like Milenkovich and Pagano. “We are thrilled to welcome such exceptional musicians back to our stage,” Rodda said. “Their connection with our orchestra and their passion for performing here is something we value deeply.”
Tickets for the 2024 season range from €11 to €35, with special discounts for attendees under 34. For more information, visit www.teatroverdi-trieste.com.
